Modules

 

The Certificate Maintenance Committee diligently works on the CMP and the Certificate Maintenance Modules. The modules address current practice for the full scope of midwifery practice, and encourage midwives to incorporate evidence based care into their practice. One module must be completed in EACH of the three areas of practice: Antepartum, Intrapartum / Newborn and Postpartum, and Gynecology and Primary Care of the Well-Woman. Each module contains references and learning objectives from 18-20 articles, with an open book multiple choice test.

Each module will have six opportunities for grading, as each module is active for 34 months. Modules are graded two times per year, each year that they are active. The first grading of the year is April 1st and the second grading is October 1st. Answer sheets may be mailed so that they are received anytime prior to the deadlines.
