AMCB Committees


  • Examination Committee

Chair: Tanya Bailey, CNM, MSN


The Examination Committee members meet two to three times per year regarding the ongoing development and testing of questions included on the National Certification Examination.

  • Certificate Maintenance Program (CMP) Committee

Chair: Linda Hunter, CNM, EdD, FACNM


Committee members meet twice per year regarding development and maintenance of the recertification program which assesses and enhances the continuing competencies of the certificants. The committee will also produce one new module for the program each year.

  • Credentials, Administration & Reporting (CAR) Committee

Chair: Jane Mashburn, CNM, MN, FACNM


The Credentials, Administration and Reporting Committee is responsible for maintaining and updating the Candidate Handbook. This committee is also responsible for handling candidate concerns regarding eligibility, the application process, administration of the exam, or ADA as needed.

  • Research Committee
Chair: Barbara McFarlin, CNM, PhD, RDMS, FACNM

The Research Committee meets once yearly, contingent on research project proposals, to review and coordinate external research requests, internal research requests, and to develop, conduct, and report the Task Analysis.

  • Finance Committee
Chair: Kathleen Bailey, CNM, MA, MS


The Finance Committee is responsible for reviewing the annual operating budget with the CEO, and making recommendations to the full Board. This committee is also responsible for recommending any large expenses outside the normal operating budget and recommending any auditing and investment firms when needed.
