The AMCB Research Committee needs YOU!

Volunteers are the heart of our organization and we have been privileged to have had so many dedicated CMs and CNMs willing to work with us. We are searching for Certified Midwives (CM) and Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNM) in various practice settings to contribute to our diverse team of professionals. At this time, we issue a call for volunteers for the AMCB Research Committee.

The Research Committee is a diverse group of subject matter experts (CMs & CNMs) who represent midwives of different races, ethnicities, genders, practice settings, clinical experiences, locations, etc. The committee conducts a task analysis survey of newly certified CNMs/CMs to ensure that the national certification examination reflect current entry-level midwifery practice. This committee is also responsible for conducting internal research relevant to the mission of the corporation and approving external research projects. For more information, please click here.

CNM/CMs wishing to serve on an AMCB committee must meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum education of a master’s degree and/or evidence of academic or experiential knowledge relevant to the committee’s function.
